چکیده

This paper presents a survey of architectures to integrate humanoid robots in collaborative working environmentse in different real situations. An extensive state of the art is described, and their limitations are addressed. A pattern of architecture is given, and a partial implementation is proposed on a HRP-2 robot. This work is motivated by an European Project called Robot@CWE exploring robot integration inside collaborative working environments.

PSO-Based Path Planning Algorithm for Humanoid Robots Considering Safety

In this paper we introduce an improvement in the path planning algorithm for the humanoid soccer playing robot which uses Ferguson splines and PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization). The objective of the algorithm is to find a path through other playing robots to the ball, which should be as short as possible and also safe enough. Ferguson splines create preliminary paths using random generated para...

Design of Modules and Components for Humanoid Robots

The development of a humanoid robot in the collaborative research centre 588 has the objective of creating a machine that closely cooperates with humans. The collaborative research centre 588 (SFB588) “Humanoid Robots – learning and cooperating multi-modal robots” was established by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in Karlsruhe in May 2000. The SFB588 is a cooperation of the University of K...

A Reference Architecture for Automation of Inter-Organizational Process-Oriented Collaboration

In today’s competitive, dynamic, and changing business environment, being able to collaborate globally within and beyond the enterprise borders is critical. Inter-Organizational Collaborations (IOCs) have been proposed as a response to the characteristics of highly competitive global business environments. So far, a number of reference models, frameworks, and ad hoc architectures related to som...

A Low Friction Demanding Approach in Gait Planning for Humanoid Robots During 3D Manoeuvres

This paper proposes a gait planning approach to reduce the required friction for a biped robot walking on various surfaces. To this end, a humanoid robot with 18 DOF is considered to develop a dynamics model for studying various 3D manoeuvres. Then, feasible trajectories are developed to alleviate the fluctuations on the upper body to resemble human-like walking. In order to generate feasible w...

Integration of humanoid robots in collaborative working environment: a case study on motion generation

This paper illustrates through a practical example an integration of a humanoid robotic architecture, with an open-platform collaborative working environment called BSCW (Be Smart Cooperate Worldwide). BSCW is primarily designed to advocate a futuristic shared workspace system for humans. We exemplify how a complex robotic system (such as a humanoid robot) can be integrated as a proactive colla...
